Nanotech Innovations has its own business, Naturally Graphite, which focuses on marketing and selling graphite crystals. Students meet the needs of researchers and teachers alike with a supply of various types of common to uncommon graphite crystals. Along with marketing this unique material, students involved in Naturally Graphite are responsible for the upkeep of this business, ranging from obtaining graphite and discovering the many different types of crystals, to managing orders and shipments and tracking future customers. We are proud to have a wide range of customers including National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Western Washington University, Northwestern University (Evanston, IL), University of Southern California, National Chiao Tung University (Tiawan), Lund University (Sweden), and many more. The website is located at Students also image the graphite crystals using a variety of techniques including scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, and optical microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy. The students involved with Naturally Graphite presented their research on graphene production at the summer 2009 Materials Research Society conference in Travers City, MI. Naturally Graphite is first-hand experience of a business in action. The students running Naturally Graphite are supplied the knowledge and ideas necessary to continue any business imaginable.
